Irving J. Jacobs is currently licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri state and federal courts. Mr. Jacobs was born and raised in the Kansas City area and attended The Pembroke Hill School and Shawnee Mission East High School. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in economics in 2011, and from Washburn University School of Law with a J.D. and trial advocacy certificate in 2014. During law school, Mr. Jacobs focused his education on trial work and gained invaluable experience and skills in the practice of law through working at the Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office as a legal intern. While at the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Jacobs was able to appear in court and try cases under a Student Practice License and successfully prosecuted all of the cases to which he was assigned, including felony and misdemeanor DUIs, felony and misdemeanor drug cases, adult and juvenile bench trials, traffic cases and trials, and preliminary (probable cause) hearings. Additionally, Mr. Jacobs second chaired multiple felony jury trials while working at the District Attorney's Office.
